Shimpo Instruments’ FG-7000T-1 1 N-m (8.8 in-lb) Range Digital Torque Gauge features an external torque sensor input. The torque sensor with the standard chuck adapter is instantly recognized when connected to the base of the display allowing for the most in testing flexibility.
The FG-7000T-1 boasts four selectable operating modes: Track Mode for live readings, Peak Mode which shows the maximum reading, First Peak Mode where, once a decrease is sensed, just the initial peak is recorded and Preset Mode for go/no go testing that initiates user-programmed tolerance alarms.
Users can also select from the two display operations; numerical view or graphical view, both with a directional bar graph. When alarm tolerances are established in graphical view, the process is plotted in accordance to the upper and lower limit graph lines. Combined with the go/no go icons, a pass/fail conclusion is acknowledged.
The FG-7000T-1’s menu programming makes the selection and setup of the instrument to the needed requirements hassle-free. The torque gauge is ideal for simple data acquisition, capable of logging data with a single button push, but can be set to continuous data storage as well. Users can record several tests and then separate them upon loading with the 1,000 point memory with group categorization. The subsequent data can then be examined on the display, communicated to the optional printer or loaded for further analysis and graphing with the free downloadable software program.
Shimpo has equipped the FG-7000T-1 with features and functions suited for efficiency and user versatility. The expansive backlit, 180° auto-reversible display and CW/CCW directional bar graph, in addition to the dual labeled keypad, all enable the gauge to be employed in varying positions without sacrificing the ability to see or operate the gauge. The durable housing of the instrument has an ergonomic design for handheld portability.
