Is the online commerce site, Instrumentation2000.com, secure?

Our site uses a Secure Socket Layer encryption (SSL) so your information is safe. Your payment details are not stored by our website and pass only to the secured payment gateway, Verisign.  If you are worried, call your order in to (732) 632-6400.

How can I pay for my order?

We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express Cards.  We accept US Government Purchasing Cards and Purchase Orders without Credit Checks.  COD payments are also welcome; add $8 or you can mail payment ahead of time.  We do not charge your credit card until the time the units are shipped. More expensive items may be authorized on your card prior to order processing in order to validate the card's capacity to accept a larger charge amount.

 

Do we accept Purchase Orders?

We accept Purchase Orders from most companies but your credit must be approved first.  Please call us at, (732) 632-6400, for a credit application. Our payment terms are Net 30 Days with a 1.8% per month late charge. We send all accounts 60 days past due to collections. Should your account become past due, you will be responsible for all fees associated with collections.  We accept US Government Purchase Orders without credit checks.

Do we charge sales tax?

Instrumentation2000.com is located in NJ and MD, so tax is collected for shipping addresses or customer pick-ups within these states.  At this time, we do not collect sales tax in any other state. As the buyer, you are responsible to pay your local taxation authorities.

I am from another country, can I purchase from Instrumentation2000.com?

Yes, you can. We can accept a credit card if you provide essential anti-fraud information.  We also accept wire transfers from your bank to our bank. You must call us at, 1-732-632-6400, to arrange wire transfer payment. Our wire transfer fee is $50 USD, charged by our bank.  We recommend using your freight carrier account number to save on the freight cost.  As the receiver, you are responsible for duties and local taxes. These fees are not included in any price quote you receive from Instrumentation2000.com.

Do we ship orders in the US only or around the world?

We will ship anywhere allowed by the US government. We do not ship to any country that supports terrorism.  We ship UPS in most cases but can use FedEx if required, however we do not use FedEx Ground. We can ship using your account number.  We will ship to US military addresses, APO, etc. using US Postal Service. Please call (732) 632-6400 for more information.

I need this stuff fast, when will my order be shipped?

If your items are in stock and ordered by 3 PM EST, we will ship your order the same day.  We arrange many drop shipments from warehouses around the country, so please call as chances are we can get your order to you quickly. International customers must wait for funds clearance and fraud checks.  We will ship rush orders using UPS RED or Blue Service or FedEx Priority. Rush calibrations are charged a premium; 100% of the item’s calibration price or $50, depending on the cost of calibration. Other than express shipping fees, we do not charge extra for rushing your equipment order.


How long will it take if items are not in stock?

Many items are available in 3-5 business days.  Two weeks is a safe guess for higher priced or special order items.  Some high-end equipment can take 4-8 weeks, just call, we'll let you know.

Do you keep my information private?

Your information is used to process your order. It is not sold, rented or loaned in any way.  If you sign up for our newsletter, we will send you an update periodically.  Our website uses cookies to keep track of your shopping cart and user information.  Please review our Privacy Policy for more details.


What is our Order Cancellation Policy?

You may cancel your order for stock items at any time.  Custom order items may have a cancellation fee as high as 40%, depending on the manufacturer.


What is our Return Policy?

A Return Material Authorization (RMA) number is required. Please email or call for an RMA.  Any return will be a minimum 25% restock fee. A refund (less restock fees, freight and miscellaneous fees) will only be granted once any return is tested by our lab, all accessories are included, all manuals are in new condition (No writing/notes), all packaging is undamaged and the item can be resold.  Return freight must be prepaid by the buyer; we will reject any freight collect shipments. Custom orders, depending on the manufacturer, cannot be returned. Orders cannot be returned 14 calendar days after shipment. How do I get an order status?

Log in to your account; we attempt to update status daily. You can also email us, chat or call.

The item arrived damaged or something is missing, what do we do?

We will need to make a claim with the carrier or manufacturer. Please call (732) 632-6400 ASAP and DO NOT DISCARD the package and packing materials. The carrier will want to inspect these items. Claims for shortages or damage must be made within 14 calendar days of shipment, otherwise nothing can be done.  You may be asked to take photos of the damaged items.

What is our warranty?

Instrumentation2000.com is a distributor, as such, we pass the manufacturer's warranty on to you.  We will support your claim for any warranty with the manufacturer. Call us for an RMA #, this will start the process, be sure to tell us what is wrong with the item.  We can also repair your existing test equipment; those repairs carry a 90 day warranty from date of shipment.
