The PIECAL 525Plus combines the functionality of aThermocouple Calibrator and an RTD Calibrator plus a Milliamp Loop Calibrator into one compact instrument.. The 525Plus also has advanced diagnostics including the unique ability to check the health of a thermocouple sensor by simultaneously displaying the resistance of the sensor and wiring while measuring the temperature being sensed by the thermocouple element. This calibrator can power up a temperature transmitter while simulating the thermocouple or RTD sensor input. Plus it has PIE’s patented Leak Detection to troubleshoot loop wiring problems.

The PIECAL 525+ is a great tool for trouble shooting loop problems with ground faults or leakage currents. Source of measure 14common thermocouple types or test 2, 3 or 4 wire RTD sensors (12 types). Resolution is up to 0.01 Degrees. The 525plus can power most any transmitters and works with pulse current type transmitters. The system accuracy allows the testing of field devices used in AMS 2750 surveys.
