Ideal for applications where operation voltages surpass 1000V and higher insulation test voltages are required, Megger has introduced their MIT2500 1004-745 2.5kV Hand-Held Insulation and Continuity Tester.
The MIT2500 delivers 50V, 100V, 250V, 500V, 1000V and 2500V fixed ranged voltages, in addition to a variable range of voltages between 50V and 2500V to be “dialed in”. The novel test voltage feedback control retains the output test voltage to within 2% of the selected range, even when under test. The MIT2500 displays the actual test voltage on a smaller digital readout while the measurement is presented on the larger digital display.
For continuity and resistance testing, the unit boasts a list of new and advanced features and functions, like the capability for differential measurements between two consecutive continuity tests. It is equipped with a single resistance range, fully automatic from 0.01 Ω to 1.0 MΩ and a function for automatic bi-directional testing without the need to reconnect leads.
The MIT2500 is over-moulded with an IP54 weatherproof rating for durability and is outfitted with a guard terminal for maintaining accuracy
