Shipping and Delivery Details

Getting our products in your hands quickly is our number one goal at Instrumentation2000.com. Here are some details about our shipping program and product delivery.

How does free shipping work?

Free shipping (UPS Ground Only) is available from your cart during the checkout process if your order value exceeds $100 and the ship to address is in the lower 48 states of the USA (Excludes Alaska and Hawaii). Certain larger items are not eligible for free shipping. This option will not appear in your shipping options during checkout.

My ship to address does not match my credit card billing address:

In general this should not be a problem if your credit card issuer has the ship to address on record.  If the ship to address cannot be verified, or is a "Mail Box", store or an export house, your order will most likely be placed on hold until these details can be confirmed with our customer service staff.  Any order placed using American Express as a payment method requires the ship to and the bill to address to be exactly the same, no exceptions.

I need this fast, what are my options?

We can ship things quickly when they are available and the right freight company is used.  We offer overnight, 2 day and 3 day services from UPS as standard.  We suggest you contact our customer service department via email, phone or chat to get things rolling quickly.  We will baby your order and walk it out the door quickly!

I work for the US Government/Military, do you ship to an APO/FPO address?

First, thank you for your service! Of course we will support our fellow Americans abroad and ship to APO/FPO addresses using the US Postal Service, however free shipping is not available to an APO/FPO.

I live in a foreign country, do you export?

We have been shipping products outside the USA for over 20 years.  However, many products we sell are excluded from export in our distribution agreements with manufacturers.  The best advice we can give you is to convert your cart to a quote request and our customer service department will respond quickly with a price quote and confirmation of export capabilities and rules for your country.  In order to expedite the shipping process, we request that you provide an account number for a freight company such as UPS, FEDEX or DHL so all shipping charges are covered on your end.  All duties and local taxes are your responsibility.  If you plan to use a US based freight forwarding company, please make it clear to them they are responsible for completing export paperwork, since they are charging you a fee for their services.

Is everything on your website in stock?

While we try to keep large quantities of common and popular items in stock, you will notice that many items on this site are what we call "configured".  A configured product has several or many options which make it a custom order item.  Configured products are typically not stocked but our customer service department will be happy to help you with lead times.  If you need it quickly, just call, email or chat and we will do our best to get things rolling.  We have great relationships with our vendors and we can pull off some shipping miracles if given the chance.

If I order calibration services, is this going to take a longer time to ship?

Calibration services require the item to go through our calibration lab, be tested and then shipped.  When you buy an item with calibration, we treat it as a rush calibration and it goes into our lab very quickly.  For most items calibration will add 1-2 days to the overall delivery.  Again, if time is an issue, call our customer service department. They can usually make things happen in the time frame you need.

Can Instrumentation2000 ship using my corporate UPS, FEDEX etc. account number?

Yes we can, after we verify the account number belongs to your company.  We do have a surcharge for FedEx Ground services since they have a nasty habit of charging us for using their services.  They aren't a favorite of ours so please avoid using them and we all save money.  During checkout you will see a space for customer notes, just place your account number details there and the shipper information and we will take care of the rest!

How late can Instrumentation2000 ship something during the day?

Generally, shipments are ready by 4 PM Eastern Standard Time USA.  If you need it quickly the best thing to do is call our customer service staff; they make things happen in amazing ways!
