The PIECAL 820 is a pocket sized high accuracy calibrator that replaces toolbox of single function devices. Designed by the same engineer who designed the Altek 820, the 820 is the next generation of process calibrators. The 820 sources and measures common thermocouples including types J, K, T, E, R, S, B, N, G, C, D, L (J-DIN), U (T-DIN) and P (Platinel II). Need to troubleshoot a process loop? No worries the 820 sources/simulates 0.0 to 24.0 milli-amps and if needed can power a transmitter. There is also a 250 Ohm resistor built-in for Hart smart transmitters. You can also source DC voltage with a 0/10 VDC range and a -10 to 80 milli-volt range. You can read mA loops and DC Voltage to 60 Volts. The source and measure capabilities of the PIECAL 820 are further expanded with source/measure of frequency signals up to 20 KHz. Now you can take on calibrating those flow meters and RPM indicators. Add a 2000 CPM mode for checking totalizers too! Working in the dark? Turn on the handy backlit display to brighten up the area. Working with RTDs? No problem, the 820 handles all common RTDs as well as resistance with sourcing and measure capabilities. Not sure which test lead ports to connect to ? The 820 gives you a hint across the top of the display. Have a bad wire connection? Check to make sure using the built-in continuity function. Doing a lot of the same type of transmitters? The 820 can be set up with 3 outputs with its Quick-Check function, add a 2, 3, 5 or 11 step or ramp. If you are a fan of the classic Altek 820, upgrade to the PIECAL 820, you will not be disappointed. Lastly the 820 is backed by a 3 year warranty and made in the USA (New York State) and backed by a USA committed small manufacturer in PIE.
