Replacing the MIT400 series, Megger has introduced their MIT400/2 1004-731 Insulation Tester. The MIT400/2 1004-731 is equipped with 250V, 500V and 1000V test voltages and a 200G Ω range. Likewise, the process of insulation testing is improved with feedback controlled test voltages to limit over-voltage to 2% while boasting a 2% accuracy.
Users can execute continuity tests even faster as a single auto-ranging 0.01Ω to 1.0 MΩ function substitutes the “ohms” and “kOhms” ranges. Supplied with red and black silicone leads and suited with a CAT IV 600V / CAT III 1000V safety rating, the MIT400/2 1004-731 is the first installment in Megger’s MIT400/2 series of insulation testers.
