Part of their 6500 series of insulation resistance testers, AEMC’s 6536 Megohmmeter measures insulation resistance, continuity, resistance and voltage. The 6536 carries out insulation resistance at a variable voltage between 10 and 100V with a 1V increment measuring insulation values up to 20GΩ. An AC and DC True RMS voltmeter and continuity testing with a selectable 20mA or 200mA test current is incorporated into the 6536.
Alarms function is standard with the 6536 while the Timer and Lock function enable users with a hands free operation. Boasting the latest in safety with a 600V CAT IV and IP 54 safety rating, the Automatic Safety Check function protects the user and the meter by generating audiovisual signals and test inhibition when >25V is present on test samples.
The vast digital/analog multi-function display makes viewing readings easy by enhancing them with a blue electroluminescent backlight. The magnetic stand allows the meter to be fastened to a metal surface or a cabinet during testing while the optional remote probe accessory with flashlight is ideal for poorly lit work spaces that are difficult to access.
