Measuring continuity, resistance and voltage, the 6522 1000 Volt 40GΩ Megohmmeter is part of AEMC’s 6500 series of insulation resistance testers. The 6522 is compact and lightweight for handheld use, yet the Timer and Lock function allow for hands free operation altogether.
It comes equipped with a selectable 20mA or 200mA test current and integrates a 700 AC and DC True RMS voltmeter and continuity testing. The bright blue electroluminescent backlight enhances readings so that they are clear and easily seen on the expansive digital/analog multi-function display.
The 6522 megohmmeter offers the latest in safety innovation with its automatic safety check. The safety check safeguards both the meter and the user with audiovisual signals and test inhibition when >25V is present on test samples, and boasts a safety rating of 600V CAT IV and IP 54.
